Wyle Cop BT Box Mural

Commissioned by Shrewsbury BID in conjunction with BT Openreach.

The brief was to transform this town centre ‘hidden object’ into a colourful piece of art with the theme of animals. The Wyle Cop mural is inspired by its surroundings. The Lion Hotel and Snooty Fox Jewellery sit beside the box and created the perfect starting point for the theme. The box shows a Fox out for a stroll in the countryside oblivious to the Lion watching from behind the bushes. The use of Foxgloves amongst the other wild flowers are a subtle link to the main character in the mural.
